Most clients at Best Life Therapy use their health insurance to pay for sessions. The actual cost of therapy will depend on your copay and deductible. Most clients pay between $20 and $40 for their sessions. Best Life Therapy accepts most major insurances including BCBS, McLaren, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth (LLMSs see these insurances).
We also accept Blue Care Network, Medicare and United Healthcare. Our group practice has been approved as a facility that can accept Medicaid. We accept straight Medicaid and McLaren/MIChild Medicaid. We are waiting on approval for additional Medicaid plans. If you are unsure if your insurance covers mental health, please reach out to them and they can review your benefit plan with you.

We accept HSAs and most major credit cards. Our CEO is credentialed with other insurances including BCN, Optum, Medicare and United Health Care but she has limited openings at this time. We are actively searching for a fully licensed therapist and will update our website when we can see more clients.
Best Life Therapy is a growing mental health practice. Currently, we have two office locations in Genesee County. One is at 1063 S. State Rd., Suite 8 A in Davison. This is located in a shared suite in the Applewood Village. Our second location is scheduled to open its doors for clients in early to mid-July. This office is located in a private suite in the Oak Creek Office Park. The address is 2413 S. Linden Rd., Suite C, Flint Township. Once you request your initial appointment and the therapist you want to work with, you will be able to see which location they are at when you access their calendar for online schedule requests. It is also okay to call our office and ask at 810-771-3457 or email questions to support@bestlifetherapy.net.
Best Life Therapy can help you with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, stress management, and more. Your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.
The frequency of counseling sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Most clients begin with weekly sessions and eventually move to bi-weekly.
Outpatient therapy may not be the best option for everyone. If you are having thoughts of suicide or homicide, it is important to seek immediate assistance. Please go to your nearest emergency room or call the 24-hour Suicide and Crisis Lifeline which is available 7 days a week. That number is 988. Michigan residents also should call 911 if they need emergency medical assistance. If you need referrals for a non-medical related emergency, calling 211 can connect you with food, housing, financial assistance, utility assistance and more.
No, we do not do custody evaluations. If you need a custody evaluation or recommendations regarding parenting time, the Friend of the Court or your lawyer may be able to assist you. These investigations are beyond the scope of what traditional outpatient therapy can provide. It is important to seek out someone who specializes in court related matters if this is a need you have.
Teletherapy, also referred to as telemedicine, provides you with convenience. You will not have travel time or costs associated with driving to a clinic. This is a great option for those who work from home. Clients may decide to do a combination of both in-person and teletherapy. Teletherapy is an option as long as you are in Michigan.
Clients occasionally want to bring a loved one to their session and often ask their therapist beforehand if it is okay. Best Life Therapy believes that it is a client's right to do that anytime they'd like. It is not necessary to clear that with your therapist before the appointment. With experienced clinicians, you will be working with someone who has been trained to work with all people. We understand how to work with individuals, couples and families and will always do our best to help you with your treatment goals.
Absolutely! Clients often refer their friends and family to Best Life Therapy. Finding a therapist who you trust can take time. It is one of the highest compliments we receive when a client recommends us to others. We greatly appreciate your trust in us and will always do our best to provide exceptional care to your friends and family. If you are a current patient, it is a good idea to discuss the referral with your clinician just to be sure the therapist is okay with seeing your family member/friend. On occasion, we may see potential conflicts and would suggest they see someone else.
